Integrated Person-Centered Health Care for all Women During Pregnancy: Implementing World Health Organization Recommendations on Antenatal Care for a Positive Pregnancy Experience (Global Health)
In November 2016, WHO issued a new global guideline on routine ANC: WHO Recommendations on Antenatal Care for a Positive Pregnancy Experience. The main focus of the guideline is the prioritization of person-centered health and well-being in accordance with a human rights-based approach. This is the first WHO guideline on routine ANC to consolidate components of the essential core package of services and care that women and adolescent girls should receive throughout the pregnancy period.
