In many developing countries, girls lack access to feminine hygiene products. They isolate themselves during their menstrual cycle, missing up to 3 months of school a year. In some cases, girls have been exploited in their efforts to gain access to sanitary supplies. Providing access to feminine hygiene products is a low-cost intervention can remove stigma and enable girls to continue their education uninterrupted.
