As wealthy, infertile couples around the world seek egg donors to use for in vitro fertilization, women in vulnerable financial situations can be exploited or coerced into selling their eggs. Laws regarding egg donation and/or selling vary by country. Lee and Tedeschi (2015) have compiled a list highlighting every country’s laws, or lack thereof, on egg donation and selling.
