To Find an Effective Zika Vaccine, We Must Include Pregnant Women in the Trials (The Hill)
It has long been the practice to exclude pregnant women from drug development and vaccine trials due to the nature of the unknown risks to the health of the mother and child. Yet some argue that in the case of the Zika vaccine, “it is more ethical to include pregnant women in certain clinical trials than to exclude them.”
