Fleeing Boko Haram, Women Seek Healing and Economic Resilience in Niger Camps (Huffington Post)
Women and children make up 70% of displaced persons driven from their homes by the massacres of Boko Haram, who kill most of the men. Most of the women, having experienced widespread sexual violence, now lack means to an income. International and local organizations are partnering to ensure that the humanitarian response addresses the specific needs and risks these women face.
