Catholic Relief Services: The Health of the Family Is Also Men’s Work
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) carries out the commitment of the Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas. They are motivated by the Gospel of Jesus Christ to cherish, preserve and uphold the sacredness and dignity of all human life, foster charity and justice, and embody Catholic social and moral teaching
The project: Catholic Relief Services is working to educate men in Nicaragua about maternal and newborn health and the importance of their involvement with their wives. According to CRS, health workers in Nicaragua say the key to the program’s success is getting men involved in maternal health.
